Given the overlapping challenges of climate change, urbanization and the COVID-19 pandemic, the Expert Group Meeting is part of the project technical assistance that seeks to support the national government, particularly the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development and the Climate Change Commission in developing the “Resilient and Green Human Settlements Framework”. The formulation of the Framework is likewise mandated by Republic Act 11201, also known as the “Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Act” of 2019. The EGM will invite technical experts and practitioners on various fields and disciplines to make the discussion comprehensive.

Objectives of the EGM 

  1. Present the draft Resilient and Green Human Settlements Framework (RGHSF) and 
  2. Gather comments and inputs from each sector expert and practitioners and
  3. Identify the next steps in finalizing the draft RGHSF.
