About
CCC is the sole policy-making body of the government tasked to coordinate, monitor and evaluate the programs and action plans of the government relating to climate change pursuant to the provisions of the Philippine Climate Change Act (RA 9729).
Considering their mandate and in view of the project’s thrust to contribute to the achievement of the National Climate Change Action Plan (NCCAP), the CCC will:
- Be part of the Project Steering Committee to ensure that the project is consistent with the National Framework Strategy on Climate Change, the National Climate Change Act, the National Climate Change Action Plan as well as other issuances and policies on Climate Change that may evolve and arise in the course of project implementation;
- The project will likewise engage with CCC for the knowledge management component considering their role in overseeing the dissemination of information on climate change, local vulnerabilities and risks, relevant laws and protocols and adaptation and mitigation measures as stipulated in RA9729.
